For 6.2:
Have you set the env variable PFSTYLE? (32 = o32; N32 = n32). You can set
it eith inside or outside the Makefile tho, of course, the former takes
precendence.

Don't know about 6.3 or 6.4. 6.5 is different but is explained in the
on-line docs
