This is definitely a question for fahrenheit++at++sgi.com.
And check out http://www.sgi.com/fahrenheit/home.html
I made a mistake in my earlier posting by
saying "subscribe to" instead of "mail to"
fahrenheit++at++sgi.com.
You don't need to subscribe, just mail your questions
to that address.

At least a good thing happened because of the mistake:
I got to update my vis sim database from all
of you subscrition messages.
Thanks. :)

For close future, I'll ve to migrate a performer api to NT.

As far as I know farenheit could be an answer.
Yes. We believe Fahrenheit Scene Graph (FSG) is the future API standard.

        Eventually Optimiser.
No. Optimizer is the current SGI API for large CAD model visualization.
It certainly can be used to view any large model.
The future version of Optimizer on FSG is called Fahrenheit Large Model.
Performer group is building the vis sim extensions on FSG.

Here the question to sgi people:

what kind of node will be ported or behaves as the performer's ones

in the future Farenheit Scene Graph ?
