This is actually incorrect. You do just add TRAM. A MXE system is just a SSE
with 4MB TRAM, a MXI system is just a SSI with 4MB TRAM. hinv just reports it
differently. If you have an SI or SE and add TRAM then it reports as you would
think (SI + tex or SE + tex).

So to upgrade, just call your local SGI office and ask for the texture memory
upgrade for you Octane.
