I use the following to drive our Virtual Research V6 and display one eye's view
on a separate monitor, and suspect it will work for the VR4.

Use /usr/gfx/setmon -S 4++at++640x480_60. Connect two of the 640x480 outputs
from the MCO to the V6 electronics unit. Connect the video output from the
V6 electronics unit to a PC monitor.
