Why? Is it to save space? Then the prior suggestion should work. If for some
other reason, please expound.

Well, it is possible for a geode to have multiple parents. However, the geoset
has one and only one geostate. It is also possible for a geode to have
multiple geosets, each with it's own geostate. There is a lot of flexibility
here depending on what you want to do. However, allowing a geoset to have
multiple geostates simply doesn't make sense in the implementation and breaks
the model.
