Every so often I get a report about a machine that says

rld: Fatal Error: unresolvable symbol in /usr/lib32/libpf_ogl.so:
vlDMBufferGetValid

I've seen this in the past (on 6.2 machines) and attributed it to an
"overzealous" rld, as patch 2715 seemed to make it go away. Now I've
received my first report from an IRIX 6.5 machine; does that indicate
patch 3378? What's the best prevention?
