When creating the channels keep a record of the pfChannel pointers (in
shared memory).
In the draw callback compare the first parameter to the stored values.

Yes, but you have to bookkeeping yourself. A possibility is to set up
the ortho frustum you use to different values for the channels
left (0,0) - (0.33,1)
mid (0.33,0) - (0.66,1)
right (0.66,0) - (1,1)
And then draw the HUD as you would for one channel
