The optics of the right and left eye are identical (i.e., the
display/optics assemblies could be interchanged without effecting the
system). The optics of the two displays CONVERGE (as originally stated) by
a total of 4 degrees. If an application sets up the viewing frustums to
match this then the right eye will, beyond a certain distance, see objects
that are further left than the left eye can, and visa versa.
