Re. the queries raised by Angus Dorbie + John Wann a few weeks ago, I've
now had time to get some more detail on the optical design of the VR4,
from Virtual Research.

The optics of the right and left eye are identical (i.e., the
display/optics assemblies could be interchanged without effecting the
system). The optics of the two displays CONVERGE (as originally stated) by
a total of 4 degrees. If an application sets up the viewing frustums to
match this then the right eye will, beyond a certain distance, see objects
that are further left than the left eye can, and visa versa.
