Hello.

I'm in need of the group's opinion on what could be causing a very
minor display freeze in our simulation that is not periodic and lasts
for less than a second, but is very noticable. At the moment, I don't
have more accurate measurements, sorry. The majority of the
simulation progresses along smoothly and we maintain about 30Hz
refresh rate. However, once in a while, it's as if the refresh drops
to 1-2Hz and then jumps back up to our nominal refresh rate.

Here's more on the situation. We gave *many* demos during the late
spring/early summer (May) of this same simulation and never once
noticed a screen pause.

Just this last week we needed to give another demo of the same
simulation. Note that none of the source code had been changed
between demos. However, the code was recompiled. We do not have any
other GL-based programs running on the machine (no clock,etc...) and
we are limiting logins to only one account, so no one else has access
to the machine. Our machine is an 8-processor Onyx iR with 2RM.

I looked back over the installation logs for this machine between the
two demos and noticed the following:

------------

Could it be possible that the newly installed patches brought this
issue up? Are there other patches that might help remove this minor
freeze? Does anyone have any other ideas???

Many thanks for your input!
