Since I started making enquiries about this, several people have asked me
to copy the data to them. I thought I outght to make it more
widely-available (appologies for the cross-posting).

Anyway, the staff at Virtual Research have kindly provided me with the
following data about the optics of the VR4 and V6 (these HMDs share the
same optical design):

FOV: 48 degrees (horizontal), 36 degrees (vertical), 60 degrees (diagonal)

Optical axes: Each eye has a 2 degree outward rotation (outward meaning
that the optics come closer together), a total convergence of 4 degrees

Now there's no excuse for not setting up your HMD correctly!

cheers

roy
