IRIS Performer is and will be actively supported.
The next release, Performer 2.3, will contain new features
supporting our next generation hardware as well as
enhancements on current features. It will be released
around the time our new hardware products are released.

There is no plan to port Performer to NT.

Yes. The answer is FSG. It is going to happen some time later next year.
The other mission of our Performer team is to help our visual simulation
customers transition their applications on top of Fahrenheit Scene Graph,
the next generation graphics API.
Vis sim specific FSG extensions, such as real-time synchronization,
will be released around the time FSG is released.
Please talk with us about your needs and schedule.

Thanks!
