You shouldn't really use pfChannel::setViewOffsets for this - use
pfChannel::setView instead.
setViewOffsets is really designed for attaching side channels to a multi-channel
display - and the rotation math it uses is a little 'strange' because it's
designed to ensure that adjacent channels line up nicely. setView is the right
command for moving the eyepoint around the world.
