If you want to do one big polygon for the sea, the size of that polygon should
be gauged be how high the eyepoint is above the water (h), because the distance
to the horizon is proportional to the square root of h. Then if you put boats on
the sea, then you would draw them on top of the water out to the horizon and
then sink them as their distance extends beyond the horizon.
