Sounds like you're only seeing the left side of a multi-channel
output. Are you running perfly under a 2-channel 1280x1024 video
combination? (ie, 2580x1024, 2 channels at 1280x1024 each)?

By default the perfly window comes up full-screen, so if you were
running the above config but only had one monitor plugged in, you'd
see the "skewed" result you describe.

Run /usr/gfx/gfxinfo to check it out. If there's more than one
channel, then use ircombine (or setmon -x 60) to switch back to a
single-channel video combination. You'll need to save to the EEPROM
and restart graphics for the change in managed area size to take
effect.
