I have noticed a very strange "feature" when using Perfly on our Onyx2, 6.5,
Performer 2.2.1. When I start up perfly with the town database, it starts
up fine but when everything is loaded and I try to "drive" forward the view
I get is skewed slightly. That is, it appears as if I am looking out the
front left of my "windshield" instead of out the front, alhtough I am
driving in the direction I would expect (straight forward). The same happens
for the cuevadefuego demo from the Friends CD. Unfortuantely, we don't have
any other 6.5 machines with 2.2.1 so I can't determine whether or not it is
a 2.2.1 thing, a 6.5 thing, or an Onyx2 thing...
This does not happen on our Octane, 6.4, Performer 2.2. In fact, there are
other differences as well, including the GUI for perfly being different. Is
this a known bug or problem? I notice that in Patch 3229 (which we do not yet
have installed) there is a bug fix for the "lookahead" token in cliptexture
files, but I wouldn't think this would affect perfly on the town DB. As far
as I can tell nothing else in the patch applies.
Anyone else experience such an effect, and if so is there a fix? I will
likely just apply the patch and see how that goes, but I thought I would
ask first.
