Hi Performers,
we are developing a naval visual simulation. We have to show different
objects which should be transparent. Our database has the following
dimensions: x,y,z: 2.033.000 meters, 2.033.000 meters, 729.369
meters(sky).
We have one large transparent object (x,y,z: 17.456 meters, 417.067
meters, 387.016 meters) and up to four smaller ones (x,y,z: 76.636
meters, 3.273 meters, 3.273 meters).
Our hardware is an onyx2 IR with 2 raster managers, one pipe, small
pixels and the resolution is 3 times 1280x1024.
The modeling software is MultiGen and we are using Performer 2.2.
The problem is that, depending on the distance and the angle, the
transparency isn't working correctly. For example we can't see the
smaller transparent objects if the large is in front of it. If we change
the cull mode from all to view it's vice versa.
Any hints to solve the problem??
