(Not really a Performer question - but...)

Look here:

  http://www.sgi.com/Technology/openGL/glut.html

..if you have to #include "GL/glut.h" then you'll also have to link to
GLUT - so download the entire toolkit and install it.

If by any chance you *are* trying to use Performer - I wouldn't recommend
mixing it with GLUT - the two don't really play well together.
