Set the headroom property AWENG_HEADROOM of the engine to 0.0. It's
normally at 6.0. This is used to reduce the overall amount each
wavefile sums into the output to keep sounds from distorting.

Subject: Volume of AudioWorks applications

Hello,

We have a little problem with our audio applications. When we play sound
with
the soundplayer it is much loader then sound played at maximum volume
with the
audioworks demon.

Any ideas why this is so? All volume settings I could find are set to
their
maximum value.
- Volume of the engine: 1
- spl-range: 40-140 db and sound played at 140 db

Regards,
Jeroen Kouwer
