Without seeing exactly what you are seeing, I can't be sure - but I'm 99%
certain that this is a multi-sample-alpha versus blend-alpha problem.

On RE2 and Inf.Reality you'll get multi-sample alpha by default - on
all other platforms you'll get blended alpha.

The latter suffers from the problem that if it the polygons aren't depth-sorted
then they won't Z-buffer nicely.

The former suffers from the problem that you need a multisample frame buffer
and the O2 and Indigo don't have that. Also, you only get a handful of levels
of transparency so you sometimes see some contouring artifacts.
