I remeber some while ago, when I wrote a program to draw a dxf file using
OpenGL, that AutoDesk didn't advice to use dwg as interchange format because
they often introduce changes in functionality, format, etc and don't make those
changes available to the public (that's why they created DXF) that's what it
said in the DXF format manual, so maybe it is wise to go for DXF and have those
DWGs I asume you have converted to DXF.
