For commercial solutions I believe the PolyTrans product from Okino
(www.okino.com) converts many different 3D file formats including
OpenFlight .flt (as an extra option) and Wavefront .obj formats. The
basic module costs $495.

Also, for my own purposes I spent most of last week making my own
FLT->OBJ converter based on the multigen API libraries. It converts
polygonal models including materials and textures but does not support
all the many attributes you can set in a FLT model which have no
equivalent in the OBJ format. I might be willing to share my converter -
please contact me directly if you wish to do so - but I guess I cannot
redistribute the Multigen libraries.
