pfTexture->subload() example?

   I was wondering if anyone had an example of the use of
pfTexture->subload that I could look at. When I call subload() my
application dies with a pfError:
  
  _pfDirtCheck: pfRealloc of 0 bytes returned NULL.

   Also, is the first argument to subload supposed to be a PFTEX_SOURCE
token? The reference pages are vague on this subject. I have been passing
PFTEX_SOURCE_IMAGE, but this doesn't seem right to me. I can't find any
information about it in the man pages or the programming guide.
   At any rate if you have an example of the usage, I would greatly
appreciate the opportunity to take a look.
