I have created a HUD using two channels in one window. This allows me to have two scenes, one for the background and one for the HUD. It works alright, however, with my HUD channel the is a small range I have to work with. I can only position the ojects between (x, 0, z) and (x, 2, z). This narrow range means my objects have to be narrow. Is there a reason for this narrow buffer.

Also, Is there a way of creating 2D text objects. The only way I can see of creating text using GLUT which works but the text can not be created and left, each frame the text must be created again.

I would greatly appreciate any help.
