Hello,

First off -- my configuration.

Onyx2, 6 195mhz r10's, 2 pipes, 6 rms.
IRIX 6.4
Performer 2.2.

My first question regards PFCHAN_SWAPBUFFERS_HW, is there any performance gain to be realized by genlocking two pipes ? I've gotten some conflicting info on this, and expect that my friend was really talking about PFPHASE_LOCK. Also, exactly how does one cable up a two (or n) pipe machine to SWBUFFERS_HW ? I've gone through the archives, Onyx hw docs, etc. And despite finding some info, even a recent thread on info-performer. I'm still uncertain...

Second for today, is pfChannel groups, and FOV. I have 5 channels on the 1st pipe, and two on the second. All in the same channel group. I have set the 5th channel (pipe 0) to use a different field of view, by unsetting the FOV share for that channel. The documentation "implies" that channel groups, cannot have an member with an exclusive share mask. Is this the case ? If so my bad, and I'll pull the channel out of the group. The reason I ask, is I expect this is causing the pfEarthSky (skyclear) to flicker to the second pipe. What I see is only the sky flickering -- almost as if the FOV was changing randomly from clear to clear.

Thanks, and have a good Weekend.
