Hello,

I have seen in the FAQ the question: What database file formats
can IRIS Performer read ?
But there seems to be a lot of lost functionality, for example,
reading textures in some formats, etc.

Does a list of problem with formats, or something like this, exists ?
This way one can know what format is better for a specific purpose.

I'm trying to read Alias/Wavefront files with Performer, but I
cannot find one format that Alias exports that is 100% compatible
with performer.

It seems that the most portable format is inventor, but, even
using ivview, there are problems with the textures. At least
the wire model (vertices) goes to performer without problems.

Thanks,
