I took a look at your support call, it seems like they've done the right
initial things: check patches, check HW diags etc. As a general note you should
always let support know when some issue is a bigger deal to you than it might
appear to be, for example this call is about perfly not working, not as high
priority as a machine down, however in this case it seems like there's more to
this than just perfly not working so support can raise the priority.
The error means exactly what it says, some system GL code is expecting RE gfx
and not seeing it. The significant thing seems to be that your machine was
apparently upgraded at some point ( I assume from RE2 to iR ), my guess is that
either a reinstall of the OS/gfx sw wasn't done or it got confused. I've spoken
with the support group, please contact them and they'll go through getting the
inst sorted with you so you have the right microcode for the iR gfx installed
which should make everything OK.
Cheers
Rob
