Hi:

I am wondering if anyone has tried something similar to the
following and encountered problems on the way:

I have an application rendering many large databases (.iv files)
in performer. At the same time inventor rendering is going on
as another process. Inventor renders someother small database (like a cube)
simultaneously with performer. This is part of a GUI which has some
thumbwheels to get data from the user and send them to performer
side to update its rendering. The thumbwheels become
extremely slow when performer side loads many large databases, but
is fine with a single one.

Anybody got any idea as to why the GUI is slowing down?
We have tried turning off caching and autoredraw in Inventor, but
has not helped in any way. How can I improve the performance?

I am using deskside onyx2, irix 6.4, performer2.2 with 2 RM7,
1024 Mbytes of main memory.

thanks for any help
