Performers,
I sent a message last week requesting the file specification for ASD
(Active Surface Definition) and didn't hear much back on the list. I
just wondered if there is information available on how to write out
files that Performer will recognize and load into an ASD node.
The asdfly demos import ".evt" and ".dted" files, though I don't know
much about these formats an I suspect they are suited specifically for
terrain elevation data.
I want to write 'range data' which is a little bit different from
elevation data (range data would be like an image of the depth buffer -
it's taken from an eye point and distorted by perspective).
Anyway, at this point, I just need to write out _something_ with LODs
and morph vectors that Performer can put in an ASD node. Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks.

Sincerely,
Bill Feth

ps. One person suggested writing out a .flt file using Multigen's CAT
(Continuously Adaptive Terrain) specification (available on the web)
which Performer should recognize. Any other suggestions?
