You see this dramatic memory usage when you use the
pfuClearTextureMemory() call (which happens when you hit the "c"
while running 'texmem')? That's depressing because I just adapted
the ClearTextureMemory call for use with Performer 2.04. It only
makes GL calls (other than pfQuerySys the first time through).
I also see gmemusage going through the roof while I loop over
calls to pfuClearTextureMemory, but ps doesn't show any
increase in memory usage. On the other hand, my test just
core dumped with a bus error after ~5000 calls. It looks like
I need to play with this problem myself some more.
