Can TKO be implemented on Onyx2 with 2 IR pipes?
The Onyx2 is used to drive the CAVE virtual reality system. Recently
we buy another monitor from SGI with the hope of supporting 2 users
at the same time when the system is not in CAVE display mode
(i.e two channels from each pipe).
Unluckily, later we were told by SGI local support that TKO cannot
be done on this Onyx2. No detailed reasons.
Is there any suggestions on what we can do? Like hardware and
software to purchase. The following is the only info from SGI
website, but doesn't help too much.
> The TKO requires a Rack Onyx workstation with
>two or three RealityEngine2 subsystems, one POWERChannel-2 I/O >subsystem per user, additional monitors, and a TKO upgrade kit which
>includes additional keyboards, 75 foot monitor and keyboard cable >extensions, I/O panel circuitry and multiuser software.
Thanks for any advice.
Liu
