Hi folks - we've been digging into this problem with the "compat"
subsystems. The RLD problem with the loader DSO's has been found &
fixed and I'm now looking into what's going on with the lighting &
colors.

If you're being effected by these problems and wouldn't mind being a
guinea pig for some tests please drop me an email. Once it's all
fixed up we'll make the changes generally available, either as a
patch or something on the FTP site.
