This sounds like you have patch1927 on your machine. That was an
iR/X/GL patch that had an X bug that would cause all Performer windows
that were not on pipe 0 to hang. Performer 2.2 had a WAR in it for this
and iR patch 2789 will replace patch1927 and fix it.
