Visual Modeller
Responsibilities:
You will be part of a small team, creating virtual reality crew trainer simulators for the defence industry.
You will be responsible for the design of all of the interactive graphics. This includes acquisition and preparation of texture maps, design of targets models of aircraft and ground vehicles, ships, terrains, seascapes, and special effects.
Be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills and a fun attitude are desirable.
You’ll be using high end modelling software like MultiGen II Pro running on a Silicon Graphics workstation.
Skills:
Preferably: MultiGen II Pro
Photoshop
Other: 3Dstudio MAX
Education:
BSc degree in art, industrial design, computer design/animation, or engineering (or simular work experience)
Experience:
Background in working with interactive 3D computer graphics for visual simulation or games.
Creation of 3D models for animation or simulation.
Experience of communicating with Engineers and understanding of real time implication of modelling decisions is important.

Lockheed Martin Solartron Systems have been supplying simulation and training equipment to the defence industry for the last 30 years. To meet current demand we currently have a vacancy for a Visual Modeller to help us produce a new family of 3D models and terrains at our facility in the historic town of Hertford in Hertfordshire, England.
