Due to the absence of a robust Performer-like API for Windows NT, Paradigm
has written its own scene graph called the Vega Scene Graph. We have
implemented a subset of the Performer(tm) API as wrapper functions around
the Vega Scene Graph. This was done to ease the burden of porting existing
Vega applications from the IRIX platform to Windows NT. This API is not for
porting existing Performer applications to Windows NT. There are many
Performer wrappers that we have not implemented, and do not intend to
implement.

If you are looking for cross-platform compatibility for your existing
Performer application, Paradigm is prepared to assist you with a port to
Vega. Once the application is Vega-based, compatibility will exist between
IRIX and NT platforms, with minimal code changes. If you are interested in
this approach, please contact your local Paradigm salesperson, or send us an
email at marketing++at++paradigmsim.com.

Thank you,
