The point would seem to be that until the ARB does something about it,
even assuming that there is sufficient interest there (which may be
doubtful in light of the members and either their association with
PC platforms (Intergraph) or the Fahrenheit agreement (HP, SGI,
Microsoft) or their own proprietary scene graph approaches (SUN)),
then there really isn't an OpenGL++ and therefore no spec to follow.

Anyone seeking to write such an API may be wise to follow their own
direction, it may even produce something novel. The commercial
offerings currently out there seem either very poor or very
expensive.

This is just my opinion offered for the sake of friendly discourse, it
in now way represents SGI's position either official or unofficial.
