We're facing the same problem. What we're doing currently is that we
export the files as VRML2 and convert them (somehow...) to VRML1 (=
Inventor - .iv). I couldn't find any good converter from VRML2 to VRML1 so
I decided to write one - it will be finished soon. However, exporting
meshes as VRML2 is also not really satisfying because it seems that max
isn't able to export texture coordinates correctly in VRML2. A native max
loader would be the best solution...
