Sorry here's the answer to your second question.

Make the call to draw the missiles immediately after you call pfDraw
in the channel draw callback, if you use the gl.

Perfly is a bit screwed up because it has redundant application level
callbacks and callbacks within callbacks instead of simply leaving it
to the programmer to use the Performer callbacks. Look for the pfDraw
call and follow the calls in the rest of the channel draw callback and
you'll see what I mean.
