normal angle of FOV

Dear Performers:

  IF I want to simulate the normal angle lens(neither wide angle nor
telephoto)of the camera(I think which is 50mm) which Field of View
should I set ? (My window size is 640x480 )

  The programming Guide mention the default value of FOV is 45,
Can that value let people just like to see throught from a normal
angle lens(or mirror)?
