I recently asked about .ls loader for Performer. Well, it turned out
that LightScape can export OpenInventor. I had some problems
with the exporter, the most annoying one was that the exporter
used the decimal separator inherited from the locale settings. 8)
Great, the finnish locale uses comma instead of decimal poins (.).
Oh well, that was easy to fix. If someone at Lightscape is reading
this then maybe you could fix that in the converter...

The model I'm using for the testing purposes is about 200k polys,
and it runs like molasses in Performer. I got it to run faster by
running the exported file through ivfix (it takes about an hour to
do it), and it turned out that the .iv loader had problems with
VertexProperties, I lost all the colors. Everything was just white.
Maybe someone at SGI could take a look at the .iv loader and fix that...
Anyway, the second run with "ivfix -p" fixed that.

Let's get to the point, finally.

The framerate is reasonable when I'm not doing stereo. But with stereo
mode on the framerate drops more than I anticipated. I'm doing
the stereo rendering with modified perfly using pfChannels
for left & right on a single IR pipe. Can anyone suggest any
optimization ideas/techniques for that setup?
