Hi everybody,

Just wanted to let you know that pictures from our Abdominal Surgery
Simulator
are now online at http://www.imm.dtu.dk/~bro/darpa.html

This simulator was developed in Performer 2.1.

The more interesting technical aspects are:

    o Deformable objects using mass-spring/particle models that can be

         cut arbitrarily using a scalpel. Implemented using pfGeode as
the base
         class (ie. deformable pfGeode)

    o Force-feedback using the Phantom from SenSable Devices

    o 'Wet-effects' using multi-texture (thanks Angus for great demos)
rendering.

    o Implemented on an Onyx-2 (4 proc./ 1 inf-reality) and an IMPACT

    o Communication using PVM and UDP sockets.
