MULTIGEN UK LTD TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical assistance, and training for Technical Support, Sales staff , and customer base for all of MultiGen's Product line. To resolve difficult or complex technical support questions and provide our customer base with accurate solutions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Manage the technical aspects of telephone and on-site support. Provide technical support to MultiGen Inc. end-users by coaching them through problems and assisting them with new capabilities. This includes customer call entry, follow-up and resolutions.
2) Work with engineering and QA staff to ensure that customer calls are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Logging and follow-up of customer calls when correspondences are related to any software features.
3) Provide customised training with MultiGen's entire product line for in-house and at the customer site locations. Additionally, deliver application consulting services.
SECONDARY REQUIREMENTS:
Provide pre-sales support by product demonstrations and technical support of evaluation sites. Additional activities include technical briefings, and the development of applications using MultiGen products, consisting of our Modeling tools; MultiGen II PRO and CREATOR along with GO Run-Time and our Immersive Assembler SmartScene.

3) Must have a positive and professional telephone manner.
4) Must be self-motivated and work extra hours and/or as the position requires.
5) Must be flexible and willing to perform unrelated job functions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NEEDED:
1) Must have 3D Graphics experience. Exposure to database generation systems: including MultiGen (tm), Designer's WorkBench (tm), EasyT (tm), Easiest (tm), Target (tm), and other relevant 3-D Graphics tools.. Familiarity with Real-Time graphics applications and APIs: including Performer, OpenGL, and other Real-Time packages is desired.
2) Must be detail oriented and accurate with excellent follow through habits. Must accurately prioritize work and successfully problem solve. Must trouble shoot software related problems quickly and accurately.
3) Knowledge of SGI UNIX, PC NT platforms, word processing and database programs as well as C/C++ experience is required.
4) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Graphics Arts, or related field, or equivalent education / experience. Work experience of 5+ years in the related field of technical support, field service or engineering is desired.
