Mouse events stop after a hit

I am using a PFUINPUT_X input model on a PWin. I then call pfChanPick to see
if the user pressed button 1 (and held it down) on some object in the
window. I get a stream of events until I get a hit and then no more hits.
They stop after the call to pfQueryHit. If I don't call pfQueryHit I
continue to get hits. If I release the mouse button, the stream resumes.
What is blocking the mouse event stream and what is the relationship between
pfQueryHit and the hit buffer? What can I do to solve this problem? Can
someone suggest a better way of doing this?

Thanks,
Bill Volz
