As part of a demonstration of Performer's ASD features, we want to
place a few Digital Elevation Model (DEM) tiles together from raw data
(that is, data publicly available from the USGS ftp site). I'm a
horribly lazy person, however, and I believe that something like this
_must_ have been done before :-) Therefore, I'm asking you, dear
pfReader, if you know of such a critter. It doesn't have to be so
sophisticated that it compensates for earth curvature, grid variance,
etc., all I want to do is align the tiles.

Any takers?
