you mean ignore the normals wrt rendering?

hmmm ... you need to calculate shading as "Dynamic Gouraud" ... be sure and
check "Update Vertex Normals" too. this will give you an OpenFlight file where
the geometry has vertex normals and the loader will use them while building
geosets.

then in your performer application, find all the geostates of interest and
disable their lighting mode. also in your application, do not enable a global
override to enable/disable lighting.
