Hello!

I have some questions about using a Spaceball inside Performer programs.

1. What is the exact relationship between pfuInput() routines and
   XNextEvent() and perfly ?

I would like to have the option of controlling the simulation
with the spaceball or with the mouse (with Xformer) and read
keystrokes as it is done in perfly.

I have a piece of code that I got from this list some months ago
that showed how to control a Magellan device, and I have tried
to modify perfly adding some similar stuff, but I suspect that
this kind of managing input (XNextEvent and so) is not compatible
with pfuInitInput. (I think it is due to a XSelectInput problem)

2. I have a Spaceball 3003 from Spacetec. It has only 2 buttons. It
has a software that catches button 1 and displays a menu with 8
options to simulate the 8 buttons of previous models. How can I
configure it not to show that menu, and behave simply as a 2 button
   device ?

Is there a way to configure XInput drivers ? Is there some source
code to modify and install my own driver ?

Thank you.
(And please, don't tell me that I could use some comercial
routines to control the spaceball. I know that, but I think
that XInput Extension is quite right)
