About this arena problem, from the man page I
read that I should invoke pfSharedArenaSize.
Hopefully this will do the trick; earlier I
tried to set PFTMPDIR as an environment variable
to something other than /dev/zero swap (which
is probably why I'm only getting 256Mb - that's the
size of swap partition) with no success:
my other swap space is files on a striped disk
(could this cause problems?) but I get an error
when I try to do this.
Incidently, since I have a habit of leaving out
crucial info for Performer Detectives (makes
it more challenging) my physical memory is
1Gb on the IR.
