Performers:

I have an RGBA file that I'd like to use as an overlay image for a channel.
Just looking at perfly, I'd guess the steps are:
- make sure the X visual has the necessary overlay bits
- draw the overlay initially, and thereafter only if needed (redraw event)

What I'd like to know is if there's an easy way to read the RGBA file
and put it into the overlay planes. Or if I should use an RGB file with
the stencil planes to get my effect, which is to show the top of the
cockpit on the bottom of the screen. Or, is there a better way?

Thanks for any help!

jan
