First and foremost...thanks for all the help with the FlyBox
flight model for perfly. All this enthusiasm for performer
graphics and only one internet...what are we to do??
Next Bug...
I have a simple demo program that puts an aircraft model over
a terrain skin and then moves the model using updates to its
position. The scenegraph and code is straight out of sample/C.
with the addition of a pfGroup for the terrain and one for the
aircraft. The aircraft has a DCS with a pfCoord for the position
updates. The problem I am having is the aircraft does not visually
move if I use the perfly FLY or DRIVE models. Everything is fine
if only the trackball mode is used. Any ideas?
I have included a uuencoded version of all that is needed to generate
the code and exacutables with the execption of the standard stuff
in /usr/share/Performer/src/sample/C. To build everything take the
encoded file (stuff) and uudecode it (uudecode stuff). This will
create a file called perflyDir.tar.Z which should be uncompressed.
When untared (tar -xvf perflyDir.tar) the standard perfly dir will
be created. Go into it and run the fetchFiles script, this will
grab all the other stuff from sample/C/perfly and common. Finally,
run the Makefile to build the perfly exacutable and wala your done!
Use the run script to fire things up. Always remember to max out the
far clip plane. First run with tracball and watch the plane move from
right to left. Restart program and fly out from the center to watch the
airplane...nothing happens, the bugger is stoped; however, the coords
are being updated (see app.c).
