Clipmapping-idiots guide wanted

Hi,

Can anyone help me with clipmapping? I've looked at the demos under
Performer 2.1 (cliptex.c icache.c) but what I need to do is to clip
two textures which have been pasted onto the Multigen .flt format
database. Can it be done?
