This is the OpenGL widget (i.e. an X/Motif widget used to display OpenGL
within an X/Motif application). It is installed as part of:

gl_dev.sw.widget (O32)
gl_dev.sw32.widget (N32)
gl_dev.sw64.gldev (N64)

For more information about the OpenGL Widget, you can check out
Mark Kilgard's book:

OpenGL Programming for the X Window System
Addison Wesley
(i.e. the green book).
